Kunstmuseum (AR)

Accompanying the Kubus. Sparda Art Prize exhibition on site, we extend it digitally: thanks to making-of footage, 360° studio visits and artworks in augmented reality, users can look behind the artists’ scenes.

The art prize

Kubus. Sparda Art Prize

Organised by Kunstmuseum Stuttgart, the art prize has been awarded every two years since 2013 — in 2022 for the fifth time. It honours outstanding artistic achievement regardless of the artist’s age. Ulla von Brandenburg exhibited her multimedia installations with elements of theatre, dance and folklore, Camill Leberer presented the interplay of iron, glass, colour and light, and Ülkü Süngün showed her sculptural work.

But the exhibition was to set new standards not only in the museum itself, but digitally too: in a pitch we convinced the client of our ideas and were commissioned with the concept and realisation of 360° studio visits, augmented reality artworks and making-of video content.

AR, behind the scenes & 360° tour

Get up close to Camill Leberer’s “Glashaut”, experience Ülkü Süngün’s true-to-scale mask on your smartphone, or marvel at Ulla von Brandenburg’s lengths of fabric from every side: thanks to our augmented reality feature, the artworks can be viewed in three dimensions on the smartphone.

During the week-long installation of the exhibition, Pixelcloud was there with a camera the whole time, capturing its creation in stylish time-lapse footage.

And finally, the artists opened their studios: in a 360° audio tour they offer insight into their working methods and production processes — a genuine look behind the scenes.
